I just wanted to draw your attention to a couple of things that went home in Friday folders.
Neon Green Med Form: This form needs to be filled out to accompany any medication that students will bring up to Outdoor Lab. You will turn in the form when you check in medications to Ms. Helen on Monday the 15th. A parent/guardian needs to check in medications. Students should not be in charge of this task. As a reminder, medications need to be in original packaging. We will be sending home more details about student drop off for Outdoor Lab later this week.
Also, remember to get me your letters to take up to Outdoor Lab. I will collect them anytime this week or even Monday morning when students are dropped off. If you are sending one for every day, it's helpful if you label the order you want them handed out if you have a specific order in mind.
The Book Thief Movie Permission: Part of our novel study has been comparing small snippets of the movie to the book. As a culminating activity, we will watch the full movie in class on Monday, May 22nd. Students will need to turn in permission slips to watch the film as it is rated PG-13 due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter.
Other Reminders:
Field Day: Field Day is scheduled for this Thursday the 11th with a make up day scheduled for Friday the 12th. All Coronado students will have lunch from 11-12. It has been a Coronado tradition for many parents to take their child/children off campus for lunch or to bring a picnic to enjoy at school. Lunch will also be served in the cafeteria if this is not possible for your schedule. ALL parents must sign students in/out with the classroom teacher before leaving. Some students go with a friend instead of their own family. If this is the case, written parent permission is required for any student to leave for lunch with another family.
6th grade field day events will take place from 12:00-2:30.
What Students Should Bring
Tennis shoes and clothing that will allow for free and safe movement.
Layers or appropriate clothing for possibly changing weather
Water bottle
Sun screen (hopefully)
Continuation:
Remember to start sending in 1-4 photos for the Continuation slide show of your sweet kids through the ages! You can send them to me at
[email protected]
There are still volunteer opportunities for our Continuation reception. Thanks to those of you who have already offered to help!
